- Ship Administration Department
TKK Ship Administration Department has experienced and knowledgeable maritime officers and engineers to engage in fleet management for NYK Line and NYK Bulk & Project Carriers Ltd. and our owing oceangoing vessels.
We also manage coastal vessels operated by our subsidiary, Taiheiyo Enkai Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (coastal shipping service).
Our Marine Operation Management has accumulated knowledge through numerous coal transportations for Japanese Power Plant, as well as nickel transportations, requiring strict cargo management, complying with international codes and legislations.
Our superintendent visits vessels in every calling in Japanese ports, holding a meeting to enhance crews' safety awareness, team spirit and human relationship onboard. These engagements make discharging operations safer and smoother even at berths of Japanese Power Plant, which demands safety at higher level.
Also, our Fleet Management handles various-sized oceangoing bulk carriers and coastal bulk cement carriers with self-loading/unloading equipment requiring expertized management.
In order to keep our vessels high quality, we conduct thorough inspection; arranging prompt repair in case of failure, instructing crews how to handle and maintain the equipment, and enabling a suppression of failure.
Our Ship Administration Department is and will keep on contributing to safe and stabling seaborne transportation by providing high-evaluated ship management service through shipping skills based on experience and well-planned ship quality management.
